Brush Blankets® are the world's most highly rated silviculture mulch according to an independent study conducted by the
USDA Forestry Service. We came in #1 by a wide margin in every category of the test, which included measurements of durability
in addition to the mulch's contribution to tree survival and growth.
Brush Blankets®are a photo selective
polyethylene film that blocks the blue/green portions of the light spectrum that enable photosynthesis. This starves competing
vegetation and none will survive under the mulch. Brush Blankets® transfer the heat generated from sunlight to the soil instead
of absorbing it into the mulch. This not only prevents heat damage to the root collar in the contact area with the mulch,
it also maintains the soil temperature in the optimum range for seedling growth.
Brush Blankets® are micro-perforated to allow the transfer of water and air that are critical to tree survival and growth.
The correct placement of the mulch can create an idealized local environment by channeling rain water towards the tree. Brush
Blankets® also retain soil moisture, retarding evaporation by up to 85%.

A skilled installer will place 3500 staples a day and the flat
topped staples from Arbortec go a long towards making this a less punishing experience. When combined with the square corners,
flat top staples also yield a huge increase in contact area with the mulch, which dramatically reduces tearing during installation
and high wind occurrences.

Brush Blanket®
Dispenser is made of thick waxed cardboard, and each dipenser is manufactured to our exacting specifications.
The
dispensers are rain resistant and built to take quite a bit of punishment and keep functioning. The blankets pull out of the
box and tear off at 24",36" and 48" foot intervals. |
